For over a decade Shadyside Brass has been sharing their unique approach to the brass quintet with audiences in the Pittsburgh area. The quintet plays a broad range of music, often using arrangements made by members of the group. The group has a special affinity for arrangements of acapella vocal music and also loves to cover pop and rock classics! Classical, Broadway and jazz favorites round out the repertoire.

Shadyside Brass are winners of the Pittsburgh Concert Society Major Artists Prize and enjoyed rehearsing and performing for several years in beautiful Heinz Chapel where the group served as artists-in residence. Christmas with Shadyside Brass and Friends is a yearly tradition held in the Chapel every December.
